Flo’s Kitchen was founded in 2019 by local couple and food enthusiasts Chris & Flora Dunkerley. When they opened the doors to the new beach side salad bar and coffee shop they wanted to offer a healthy alternative to the usual seaside grub… however, they do still offer a few cheeky treats too!
The kitchen caters for all dietary needs and lifestyle choices offering something for the meat eaters, fish lovers, vegetarians and vegans. A large gluten free menu is also available.
Chris and Flo have grown up in hospitality… Chris’ parents owned a deli in Rock for 30 years called Di’s Dairy. Chris spent a lot of time working in the kitchen and front of house.
Flo worked for St Austell Brewery for over 10 years starting as a waitress and barmaid then working her way up to managing a pub in Truro before moving to Polzeath to manage The Oystercatcher… this is in fact where Chris & Flo met.
With both having a passion for food they eventually were able to secure a premises in Polzeath to fulfill their dream of opening up their own establishment.
It’s gone from strength to strength over the last 3 years and the menu has grown with it.
